70500 Progressive Cavity Pumps
The solid drive shaft of the 70500 pump is specifically designed to handle liquids that have a propensity to solidify and accumulate within a hollow-shaft model. This unique feature makes the 70500 pump an ideal choice for effectively managing such challenging substances.
The 70500 pump is capable of handling various materials, including thermosetting adhesives, concrete, grout, plaster, and other substances that have the tendency to harden within the shaft. When these materials accumulate and solidify, they can restrict the movement of the connecting rod, leading to breakage. To address this issue, Roper Pump Company engineers made a significant design modification in the 70500 pump. They relocated the pin joint connection from the middle of the drive shaft to the end, positioning the connecting rod within the suction housing. This adjustment allows for easy flushing of the material, preventing buildup and ensuring smooth operation of the connecting rod.
