Toronto

We are currently seeking for a dedicated and skilled Service & Sales Technicianfor our Ajax Branch in Ontario. This role repairs, refurbishes and maintains industrial painting, powder coating, polyurea/polyurethane machines and lubrication equipment while maintaining a safe working environment. The Service & Sales Technician's primary activity is performing field service on customer-owned painting and lubrication equipment. This position also operates a field service truck providing on-site installation, commissioning, and services for engineered systems and stationary equipment at customer sites in Ontario. 

Most relevant responsibilities:  

  • Identify and source repair parts for installation 
  • Prepare repair estimates 
  • Disassemble and repair liquid and power paint sprayers or systems, pumps, industrial coating systems, proportioners, valves, compressors, flow monitors, control systems and related equipment 
  • Conduct troubleshooting and preventative maintenance inspections 
  • Install and commission new packages 
  • Type service reports, work orders, and respond to client emails 
  • Develop positive professional relationships with existing and potential customers 
  • Advise customers on correct use of equipment 
  • Anticipate and address customer needs proactively, utilizing service interactions as opportunities to introduce and promote new products. 
  • Follow safety rules and regulations including wearing appropriate personal protective equipment 
  • Mentor / cross-train others and support other business activities as required 
  • Maintain a clean and organized work environment 
  • Create and maintain job work orders 
  • Fill out proper documentation for receiving, servicing and returning customer products   

Requirements: 

  • 5 + years of experience in paint systems (liquid and powder).  
  • Proficient in/with electronics and basic electricity requirements  
  • Experience with pumps, reciprocators, air motors, and lubrication systems.  
  • Able to locate and interpret technical service manuals in computerized database 
  • Ability to work in an environment where chemicals and solvents are used. 
  • Clean driving record and valid driver's license for operating a company vehicle. Driver's abstract may be required during the selection process. 
  • Valid passport for travel to the USA for training. 
  • Ownership of a smartphone and hand tools. 
  • Self-motivated and able to work independently, meeting deadlines and progressing through daily tasks. 
  • Communication skills in English for customer interactions. 
  • As a service technician, you will be expected to move and handle equipment, tools, and materials. This may involve lifting objects weighing up to 50lbs, to performing physical tasks throughout the workday. It is essential that candidates possess the necessary physical capabilities to fulfill these job requirements effectively and safely. 
  • Willingness to work overtime and frequent overnight travel are required. 
  • The ideal candidate lives in the Western of Greater Toronto Area (Kitchener, Guelph, Mississauga, Oakville, Burlington), and for training is able to travel to either USA or our main branch in Ontario located in Ajax.

We are currently seeking a dedicated and skilled Technical System Sales professional for our Finishing Division, specializing in fluid handling systems for paint finishing, sealants, and adhesives.

Key Responsibilities: 

  • Conduct a thorough technical review and select appropriate fluid handling systems to meet client specifications outlined in the Request for Quote (RFQ). 
  • Prepare comprehensive quotations for submission. 
  • Collaborate directly with represented manufacturers (Graco, Nordson, Global Finishing) to obtain technical information, project pricing, and special requirements. 
  • Ensure all quotations and orders are prepared and submitted according to schedule commitments. 
  • Upon receipt of purchase orders, complete the project charter and hand it over to the projects team for successful execution. 
  • Prepare the final document package upon project completion.   

 Requirements: 

Preferred qualifications include post-secondary education in a technical mechanical discipline, a CET designation, or a combination of relevant education and experience in the mechanical industry, particularly with a focus on Finishing Systems.

Key Competencies:

Edmonton

We are currently seeking a dedicated Business Development Representative for an Onsite position, preferably based at our Edmonton location. This role is well-suited for individuals with 3 or more years of industrial sales experience. The primary responsibilities of the Business Development Representative include proactively developing new business through phone calls and virtual meetings with both existing customers and new prospects.

Key Responsibilities: 

  • Qualify leads, as well as prospect into ideal prospective companies.  
  • Ability to come up with creative ideas. 
  • Record all customer interactions in our CRM system with next steps scheduled. 
  • Develop action plans to pursue leads; follow up on prospects. 
  • Develop and maintain communications in a cooperative and professional manner with all levels of internal staff and customers. 
  • Develop opportunities and take advantage of outside sales reps for a face-to-face meeting.  
  • Perform a high volume of daily reach out to new cold leads via call and text. 
  • Meet with and develop impressionable relationships with potential clients to successfully understand their needs and specific requirements. 
  • Collaborate in the development of marketing content including, call campaigns, white papers, presentation decks and other marketing collateral.

  • Work directly with represented manufacturers to obtain technical information, project pricing and special requirements.

  • Once purchase orders are received, you will prepare all purchase orders for the equipment and provide drawings for the shop fabrication and assembly of the pump and motor base.  
  • Prepare final document package once complete.

  • Replace or recondition shafts, bearings, commutators, and other components.
