Current Openings

We are seeking an Accounts Payable Clerk to join our team at our locations in Ajax, Ontario. In this role, you will play a vital part in ensuring efficient management of supplier accounts and financial transactions.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage supplier accounts by ensuring accurate and up-to-date information and setting up new accounts as required.
  • Reconcile vendor statements monthly.
  • Monitor shared email box to obtain and print invoices or statements; provide proper actions with regards to inquiries.
  • Match and enter vendor invoices to Purchase Order/Item Receipts in ERP system.
  • Verify and investigate discrepancies on vendor invoices through internal/external
    communications.
  • Ensure invoices are entered in the system in a timely manner and are accurate.
  • Ensure approval of all manual invoices and accuracy of invoice entry into system and route Non-PO invoices for approvals.
  • Reconcile corporate fuel card statements and ensure receipts are collected and matched to
    statements.
  • Maintain an accurate and organized filing system.
  • Prepare cheque runs and ACH payments, ensuring three-way match on vendor payments.
  • Reconcile bank account daily – cashed cheques/PAP.
  • Perform vendor account reconciliation and resolve discrepancies.
  • Collaborate with other internal departments to gather information required to complete tasks or resolve discrepancies.
  • Assume other responsibilities and tasks as assigned to meet the ongoing needs of the company.

Requirements: 

  • Excellent communication skills.
  • 2-4 years of accounting/finance experience, including in a similar position.
  • Attention to detail and accuracy in data entry and record keeping.
  • Ability to work cooperatively and collaboratively with all levels of the organization.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and Excel applications.
  • Ability to work independently and use good judgment to prioritize tasks effectively.
  • Willingness to learn and actively engage in problem-solving.
  • Experience with account collections, investigations, misapplied payments, and invoicing.
  • Comfortable contacting clients; conscious of client relations and expectations.
  • NetSuite ERP experience is a strong asset.

In this role, you will play a vital part in ensuring “The Pathway to Amazing Customer Experience” (PACE). Your responsibilities will include working closely with customers to understand their needs, maintaining product knowledge, and providing efficient solutions. As the liaison between our valued clients and various divisions within our organization, you will be instrumental in addressing customer inquiries, resolving issues, and maintaining accurate records in our CRM system. This is a dynamic position that offers the opportunity to make a significant impact on our customer relationships and overall success.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Work with customers to determine their requirements.
  • Maintain a thorough knowledge of company products and services.
  • Respond to customer inquiries via phone and email.
  • Enter quotes and orders and maintain and update the CRM database.
  • Provide support to all divisions of HMFT.
  • Analyze and interpret client needs and offer solutions.
  • Direct customers to the appropriate contact within HMFT.
  • Facilitate site visits for business development managers.
  • Assist customers with paperwork for sales.
  • Address and resolve customer complaints.
  • Identify and escalate pricing-related issues.
  • Update customers on order/shipment status.
  • Troubleshoot customer service issues.
  • Adhere to Health and Safety Rules, Regulations, and Policies.
  • Perform other duties as required.

Requirements: 

  • Minimum of 3 years of customer service experience in a technical product service environment. (Technical refers to BtoB products.  Does not refer to IT products).
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook).
  • Previous experience with ERP systems (NetSuite, SAP, CRM, etc.).
  • Strong customer service and troubleshooting skills.
  • Valid driver's license and reliable transportation to and from the job site.
  • Previous experience in pumps, lubrication, or industrial markets. (Ideal)

The Product Sales Specialist is an inside sales role, which will play a critical role in executing on HMFT’s "Pathway to Amazing Customer Experience" (PACE) program by ensuring customers receive a quick turnaround on leads, quotes and troubleshooting for a variety of fluid handling equipment.

Key Responsibilities: 

  • Work with customers to determine their requirements and investigate and troubleshoot customer service issues.
  • Answer questions and offer suggestions to prospects based on a thorough knowledge of HMFT’s product lines.
  • Assist customers with any relevant paperwork to complete the sale.
  • Maintain an up-to-date knowledge of competitor's products for comparison.
  • Maintain and expand the company's database of customers.
  • Understand and implement proper pricing policies/procedures.
  • Maintain excellent relationships the manufacturer's representatives.
  • Establish ongoing rapport with existing and potential customers.
  • May perform other duties as required.

 Requirements: 

  • 5+ years of inside sales experience on technical products (Fluid power, motors, valves, pumps, hydraulics, bearings, gear boxes - technical refers to B2B industrial products rather than IT products.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook).
  • Previous experience with ERP systems (NetSuite, SAP, CRM, etc.).
  • Strong customer service and troubleshooting skills.
  • Ability to make product/system selections from the 5 top product lines.
  • Previous experience in pumps, lubrication, finishing or general industrial markets. (Ideal)

We are currently seeking dedicated and skilled Service Technician -Motor Rewinder for one of our Calgary branches.

Key Responsibilities: 

  •  Test and observe electrical and mechanical conditions of equipment.
  • Troubleshoot and repair electric motors, transformers, switchgear, generators, and other electro mechanical equipment.
  • Use machining tools to fabricate or recondition parts.
  • Replace or recondition shafts, bearings, commutators, and other components.
  • Weld or braze components.
  • Wind, assemble and install various types of coils.
  • Perform static or dynamic balancing of armatures or rotors.
  • Read and interpret blueprints.
  • Perform some machining to recondition or modify shafts, commutators, or other parts.
  • Test and repair or replace faulty wiring or components in electrical switchgear.
  • Test repaired motors, transformers, switchgear, or other electrical apparatus to ensure proper performance.
